Has CSC changed with latest firmware?

I just installed 1.7.9 firmware and tried CSC in the simulator. I was only able to stop engines mid-air with both sticks down and outward, not down and inward....
Anyone noticed this?

I would like to know when something changes.
That's why I tested in the simulator.
But I don't know if it has changed in real life as well.
