H4-3D, firmware upgrade only?

DJI annouced a Zenmuse H4-3D for the GoPro Hero4. On the website it seems to be a hardware upgrade only? True???

I don't know much more than you but theoretically yes... it will basically be a H3-3D but with proper balance for the Hero 4 which is heavier than the hero 3, and also a little cutout on the mounting plate for that new "wifi/settings" button on the side of the hero 4 which sticks out a little now
