Guide to the differences between all 4 DJI Phantom 3 models

"In short, you are paying the extra $300 for the dual GPS, Vision Positioning and upgraded remote – as well as better camera specs." I don't think that sums it up, the biggest difference between the Advanced and Standard is lightbridge which you do mention
"The Advanced model features longer range, a more deluxe Remote (TX) as well as a dual GPSsystem – GPS/GLONASS which uses US as well as Russian satellites for a better location fix. It also features the Vision Positioning System (VPS) – which uses additional sensors to help the Phantom fly indoors and when very close to the ground."
But that does not give justice to how significant the range differences are between the two. On the DJI website they state the max range for FCC compliance Phantom 3 Pro or Advanced is 5000m and for CE compliance it is 3500m. The Phantom 3 standard has a stated max FCC compliance rance of 1000m and CE compliance range of 500m so the difference in range for the Advanced/Professional is 5-7 times greater than the Standard. Also you said that the $300 extra for advanced is also for "better camera specs" while that is "technically" true it is not significant enough to mention. On the DJI website they state the Pro/Advanced takes stills at 12.4mp (effective) and the Standard takes stills at 12.0mp (effective) but they both record in up to 2.7k with the same frame rate options etc.
