Great Shot From Above The Fog

This morning I got lucky and got above the fog for some great shots (Right at 300ft). My 1st attempt taking a raw photo and editing it in Photoshop.

Nice photo, but why is the sun not round. And what is the pole on the right?

Great shot, is that the sun or the moon, I'm guessing the moon and maybe a little blurred due to the extended exposure in the low light condition?

As I ascended through the fog, a little mist got on the lens, I think k that combined with the bright sun distorted the shape somewhat. The pole is actually a radio tower.
