That is not an indication of a problem with GPS.i know that this has been talked about ut i just picked up a used p3 and i get good distance but then when i turn it around to come home, compass error and gps stops. does anyone have a fix for this yet.
Yes didn’t mean gps. It was 1700 feet out only had issue when I turned it around. Also happened at 690 feet only when I turned it around. That is not an indication of a problem with GPS.
The issue is that you got a compass error which will always cause the Phantom to ignore GPS data because it can't deal with conflicting data from the compass and GPS.
The Phantom can fly without GPS but can't fly without compass.
The compass error is the issue and it doesn't necessarily mean the is something wrong with the compass,
What was the surface you launched from?
How far away was the Phantom when the compass error appeared?
I know this was an issue a year ago just don’t know if Simone has a fix yetYes didn’t mean gps. It was 1700 feet out only had issue when I turned it around. Also happened at 690 feet only when I turned it around.
