Got my aftermarket P4 backpack and love it!

How do you like it, I'm drawn between the procraft and lowepro but think the pro will work better. I have two remotes and one is modded and I don't want to take it apart so I think the pro will be the best

I have a model controller and it fits perfect in my Procraft case. Way better choice then lowe pro in my opinion. Price vs function. Pro craft all day

My original idea was to be able to also take my DSLR equipment with me on the ...

Linkmodo,

Thanks for great review and photos! Did you manage to fit your DSLR stuff in your backpack, and if so, how much of "stuff"? :) I have Canon 70D and couple lenses to carry and it would be nice to have them all in one backpack instead of two I have to carry on the back and on the "front" - aka pain in the butt.

@linkmodo (and anyone else that bought the Ultimaxx backpack) - just received this today and it looks great. Took me a few minutes to figure out the zipper order and all but I have not been able to figure this out (pictures). Looks like a holster or carrying pack / bag / something? I can't find any reference to it in the other reviews. Did anyone else get this? Any idea what it's for?

I have a camera bag that has a similar looking thing. It attaches to the bottom back of the backpack when on and holds the feet of my tripod. Further up the backpack there are straps and cords that hold the top of the tripod. Essentially what mine does is allow me to carry a tripod in the outside of the pack. Works great. I'm not certain but that looks similar.

You are exactly right! Thank you. There are loops on the front it attaches to and places for the straps to go through in that split in the upper part. Thanks.

I've got the Procraft and love it. I've got my stock P4 remote and an Inspire remote with ItElite antenna. They both fit easily without removing the antenna. I posted a pic in one of the other backpack threads. Procraft is deep enough that the remote can stand up in one piece.

Good luck.

Thanks to the tip by linkmodo, I bought the Ultimaxx backpack for $89, a definite steal for the price. I own a Microraptor Hard Case and although it's fine for storing my P3P and all its gear, it's way too large to carry it around and too big to take as carry on for traveling via airplane . I considered the Procraft backpack, my good friend who bought one also happens to be a commercial pilot, mentioned most airlines won't allow the Procraft backpack as a carry on bag due to its size.

with the droneguard 450 being 149 shipped, i don't think there is a better back pack available than that. nice review though!

I still prefer my $5 hardcase. Guaranteed to fit all phantom models and accessories

I thought the PRO Craft was within the 20x14x9" FAA spec for carry on. How much does it exceed the spec?

Not sure of exact size but it appears to be too big for some overhead compartments, hard to judge by photos.

I just ordered the manfrotto D1 today...looks a little big but top quality...almost bought drone crate one but am planning on getting the itelite antenna at some point...procraft is nice price though...just not sure on real long hikes how it would work out...

Just measured mine it is within that spec John long as u don't pack it to high hell with stuff as it will expand to fit lots of stuff

I've ordered this one $185 :)

So which one is the best now for the P4?

Read the whole thread and have no idea. I would like one that would carry at least 4 bats, a DSLR would be nice but not a necessity but the iPad 9.7 might pose a problem. Didn't consider that.
