If you have been in the aerial video bit for a while and own a 'copter that you use a GoPro (4) on there was always that "fisheye" that I hated. I converted one of my cameras to a linear lens, but the quality suffered.
The latest update v05.00 (October) for the Hero 4 Black/Silver has the same "linear" field of view setting (2.7K only) as the new Hero 5.
I'm sure this has been discussed before but I made a COMPARISON VIDEO to show the difference. I now feel the video actually "worthy" of my editing time.
To me this is great because you can barely give away a P2 these days and now with the linear setting my trusty P2 with GoPro 4 will be a definite back up aircraft for me...
My P2 is now officially back out of retirement
