Gimbal motors

I've seen some threads saying that the gimbal has two motors. One of each side.
Is that correct ?
In all the pictures I've seen, only one motor has that silver ring...the other side seems just like a plastic round part and not and actual motor....

I would say a motor on one side and a stabilisation pin and holder on the other.

I agree; looking closely, it looks like one side is fatter (motor) than the other (hinge),
