Gimbal Horizontal Alignment - Simple Solution

Interesting. I've not had any issues with the gimbal being out of alignment (at least not that I've noticed) but I have seen a few that are out.

Thanks to Mr_P for the following. This is the first time I have seen this simple alignment fix.

Keep the C2 button on the rear of the controller pressed, and at the same time turn the right hand wheel. A grid will be displayed and at the same time the gimbal will tilt as you turn the wheel.

I put a small table in front of the camera to establish the horizontal plane.

Below, the table edge is horizontal. Release the C2 button and the gimbal will be horizontally aligned.

There were a lot of happy people back when that ability was first added with I think it was FW 1.4 in late 2015. Before that, the folks with tilted horizons which were not fixed with an IMU/Gimbal calibration could only fix their horizon for that flight by entering the sub menu system in the app. The scroll wheel adjust was much easier and less disruptive while flying.

Of course, it would be awesome if the tilted and drifting horizon issues were eliminated altogether.
