I got an ND filter for my p3 standard that was not made by dji. Will it be bad for my gimbal motor? When I put it on, it makes the camera drop down when it isn’t on
I don't have any filters, but there are countless threads in the forums about them, and many people using them.
All of the cameras will point down (relax) when the Phantom is powered off.
There have been some brands of filter, that were actually too heavy, causing the camera to drop even in use, but if yours doesn't do that, I'd speculate that you are in good shape.
I have a set of Polar Pro filters for my P4 original. They do weigh slightly more than the stock UV filter, and they do cause the camera to 'settle' differently than if they were not on, but I have not experienced any problems associated with this weight difference.
