Check out our FAQ or email [email protected]I have a question on autopilot but have no idea where to ask. Is there a support email ? It's regarding the "follow me" program and height angle abilities
do you need to be on the new dev firmware for this ver?We are uploading a new beta build (version 2.1) that includes hardware decoding (see full changelog below). NOTE: many of these items were scheduled to be released with the next version, which was supposed to include Waypoint Mode, but DJI announced they will be breaking backwards compatibility with all existing SDK apps with the new firmware at the end of October. This is forcing us to do at least one more release before the version with Waypoint Mode.
Full Changelog:
- Added support for spit-screen multitasking
- Added support for aircraft type detection (when switching between aircraft types other than Phantom 2 Vision/Vision+)
- Added Hardware Video Decoding setting (on by default)
- Added Geo Coordinate setting to display lat/long in degrees minutes seconds, which is now the default
- Added Reset Gimbal FPV on Disengage setting (enabled by default)
- Added additional Max Altitude settings up to 500m (Movement Parameter)
- Added additional Max Distance settings of 3000m (Movement Parameter)
- Added additional Max Altitude settings up to 5000m (Target Parameter)
- Added aircraft serial number and firmware version info to the telemetry tapes and telemetry flight logs
- Added compass calibration status on the Flight Dashboard, and added compass status info to the telemetry flight logs
- Added control status messages on the Flight Dashboard when using buttons like Set with Aircraft Position
- Changed metric vertical speeds to meters per second (from meters per minute)
- Changed the commands section in the telemetry tape to show course and speed when in slow speed adaptive horizontal power mode
- Corrected an issue causing the map to start at an invalid zoom level which required the user to pinch to load tiles
- Corrected an issue where changing the aircraft type would not update the "Searching" status bar message
- Corrected an issue where opening the Share menu would terminate the app on iPad
No, and we haven't tested the dev firmware yet (doing that today).do you need to be on the new dev firmware for this ver?
What about a little speed control for forward flight say 2mph to 10 mph?? so speed is constant. No, and we haven't tested the dev firmware yet (doing that today).
This is possible in the new Cruise Mode. What about a little speed control for forward flight say 2mph to 10 mph?? so speed is constant.
nice work - how did you get get around the limitation where the app can't control yaw if the user is controlling the sticks?Giving Phantom pilots a little love in 2.1. About to make Build 42 available to testers which includes a new Combined Flight Control Mode called Cruise. Cruise Mode can be used for many things, including:
- Yawing the Phantom and pitching the Gimbal while you control the sticks
- Long distance run (assists in "holding" down the sticks in one direction)
- Panorams (constant yaw rates)
- etc
Sign up for the beta on our homepage. We are about to cull a bunch of people that haven't downloaded the latest build after the weekend and then we will churn through the waiting list. How do I get 2.1?

Cruise Mode is actually quite a bit more powerful than Focus Mode as it can do what Focus can (especially for the P3), but you can also set up complex maneuvers, such as ascending corkscrews, or do other handy things like fly a course and speed for a indefinite period of time.and what would be the difference between cruise mode and focus mode??

Magic
Seriously though, DJI wouldn't allow it, even after we asked, so now we are having to read inputs from the joysticks and send commands back to the RC which means there is a very slight latency compared to direct joystick control.

The new firmware is the reason we are making a 2.1 build (instead of just waiting until Waypoint Mode is ready), but it does not require waiting for the new firmware.Any ETA on when this version will be released? are you going to wait until the next DJI firmware (the late october one requiring new RC firmware/encryption) before releasing this version?
