FPV DVR Options

What kind of ground recording devices is everyone using? I recently came across a really inexpensive 5" LCD DVR that accepts inputs from standard devices like the Fat Shark and also has SD memory card options.

Has anyone tried something like this? Is the resolution in the recordings adequate? I dont mind spending the money if this is a viable option and also if I can use it for bystander viewing while FPV'ing.
