I'm on 6.1 (jailbroken) with the iPhone 5. iOS 7 felt sluggish so I reverted. It still won't install on 6.1 with the new link. The original V+ Booster app installed fine on 6.1.

This version does not boost the range extender for the time being. It has not fulfilled the required performance yet.

I suggest to test this first beta in heavy Wifi congested area with various interference level (say 3-6), and compare with the previous stage-1 booster.

This is a known issue as I mentioned "target iOS 7.0 or above" due to iOS 6 and 7 requiring different encryption method. I will let you know once we finish it for iOS 6.

I meant wifi congested all the way along flight path, instead of only the home point. 5400ft is very good range, and I could not make such range even in open area.

Correction: ..i usually get around 3400 ft in that area, not 5400. i dont know why i was thinking 5400.

Thanks a lot Jason for your test results. In summary level-1: 5100ft, level-2: 6600ft, level-3: 7500ft. Any chance to test original stage-1 booster, and the other 3 levels (4-6)? I know it takes time to recharge batteries. I usually pull back the aircraft to 50%-60% of maximum range to ensure good Wifi coverage, then simply boost it in the air and fly forward to test again.

Alright guys, the stage-2 booster for iOS is ready for beta testing. We might add more features to it, depending on the feedback of the first round beta testing. As we are running low of UDID quota, the first round beta testing is only for those iDevices participated in the previous iOS beta. Please PM me if you are interested and you don't need to send UDID again, I will send you the download link.

There are 6 levels of interference. The higher interference level (highest is 6 - Urban), the better FPV range in urban area but worse in open area. The lower interference level (lowest is 1 - Open), the better FPV range in open area but worse in urban area.

The first beta does not boost the range extender for the time being. It has not yet fulfilled the required performance.

Different area or any given spot in the flight path may have different interference level. Interference is not only at the home point (repeater), it's also at the aircraft end, which means all the way along the entire flight path.

Thank you so much Jason for your testing. Your test record of 12,000ft is very encouraging. It's even better than my expectation of best case scenario. It proved my concept of interference control by software (no longer using script) is on the right track to further improve the range, though I'm unsure how's the performance in urban area to deal with interference. All 6 levels are with same TX power as the stage-1 booster app.

I have asked my dev buddy to work a new beta with interference level 7 & 8 for your further testing, though I believe level 6 is about the optimal.

Had a nice flight today, 3400 feet with the V+ booster

Longst so far, dont know if i had any more range, but it started to drop down a few raindrops so didnt take the risk of a crash in the ocean because of rain

Glad to know you achieved satisfactory result. You may try flying in open area and higher altitude if you want longer range. The booster app is for boosting fun (not only range) in FPV. Fly safe.

Absolutely agree. You have very good long range FPV flying skill, push to the limit every time and have safe flight home.

Hi guys, I'm new to the P2V+ and been amazed,reading all the fantastic distances everyone is getting with the P2V+
Really impressed.

At the same time, I'm getting really envious and frustrated as I can't even reach more than 750 ft distance at a height of 200ft without losing visual on my iPad and then it goes into RTH. I'm running fully stock P2V+ (bird & transmitter), except for the Wifi booster app that I activate before each flight.

Anyone can advise if I'm doing something wrong? Really appreciate any advise.
