I was there last weekend, slept in that small cabin (call "refuge" in french) for one night.

Next morning was beautiful for flying, -3, but everything went well.

In fact, there was no snow at my house. So just decide to ride my car for 60 minutes north-east. (Charlevoix).
Rent a small cabin for 40$/night.

There, you need sleeping bag and good cloths. :)

just for you record my friends: 47.269253, -70.588994

right in front, it's the St-Laurence River

WOW! That's some beautiful country out your neck of the woods! I'd have to drive at least 2hrs north of Toronto! No rush for snow for me. lol

Nice vid BTW.

Very nicely done, especially the closeups of the fresh snow on the trees. Do you happen to know what the OAT (Outside Air Temperature) was when you were flying? Did you preheat the battery or just fly? I also saw that you used 1080P which was very smooth. This will be my first year flying my Phantoms in the snow when I return to my Mountain Home. I'm wondering how cold can you fly with preheating the batteries. Again, nice job!!!

Sent from my SM-N910V using PhantomPilots mobile app

@jlrsn the temperature was like 0deg, no such wind and a bit of sun.
the sun was there for 1 hour (7ham to 8ham) , after that the difference of temperature from the air and water of the st-laurence river did a bug fog all over the place, it will be not possible to fly then.

i'm happy that you guys like my shots :)

Gorgeous countryside!

What was the max height you reached on this flight?

it was a strange flight:

I start from the top of the montain, 650m (bird was at 0m before liftoff)
I fly around between 30m and 50m above trees.
Then i decide to go down in straight line to the st-laurence river, there i was at -304m on my telemetry screen (dji app) :)

Hummm, let say, the bird was in the air for 15 minutes (land with 43% battery)

i'vd used my best battery for that flight, still at 4521mhw before take off

Nous avons visité cette région plusieurs fois, jusqu'à Baie-Sainte-Catherine. Très belle!
