It's too hot for my liking but within operating range.

Here is a page from the manual with a highlight.

Right. 104f is the limit.
It's too hot for my liking also. It's a shame, since it's going to be like this for awhile here

The primary problem IMO is iPads and iPhones will over heat in temps above 90F. Always fly with no cover to maximize cooling. Newer devices with lower heat can go into the high 90's with the Go4 app running, but the drone and RC is usually not the pacing item.

I agree. My Samsung Tab S2 got pretty hot the other day. I believe temps were around 97f. The drones motors were hot, nothing major. It was a 7 minute flight. Battery was pretty warm. The thing is, what I find warm, another might find hot or vise versa.

I flew 30 minutes at 99f yesterday, using DJI Go 4 on my Galaxy tab S3, not even warm, felt the same as when it was off. Took 15 minutes of 4k too, a few landings, ect.

Agreed. That highlighted op temperature is for the the drone, not for your iPad. Mine overheated on me while I was in the middle of a shoot. Luckily I got to land before the iPad shut down. It was only a matter of minutes once I got the warning on the iPad.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7", no problems with heating, even at 100f, take 4k video, fly around, tablet doesn't get hot at all.
