Flip Flopping a Gimbal Control

What I am taking about is while facing the quad/camera the Gimbal's Pitch motor is on the left. That way you can easily have access to the usb cable and mini sd card. I have seen this done somewhere but Can't find the link. Has anyone done this with good results? Most pilots probably just leave them on the right.
