I believe that either means you've left the RC turned on for some time but the Phantom is OFF so the RC is just warning you that it's turned on... but when I do this my RC also beeps at me, not just blink the light

I have the Phantom 1 purchased in April 2014 with the red led on tx. One day after forgetting to turn of tx, I heard a beeping or flashing.
(smacks head) i just threw away four batteries thinking they were flat after mine started beeping at me, that will teach me to skip the basic instructions.
