First Crash

I'm holidaying in a quiet harbour village called Solva in South Wales UK, on our first day here the annual raft race was being held in the harbour, so I decide to film it with my P2. I got about 10 minutes of good footage then this happened, my first crash... http://youtu.be/9rha9aJuU6U

What happened?

I simply misjudged the distance I was from the trees

Following this, one damaged prop, but all working ok apart from that.

Ah ok thats good to hear. I was flying in front of my house and I flew close to a tree and panicked a bit and almost flew into it. Lucky you did not mess the gimbal and go pro.

Only a prop damaged? Good to hear. The gimbals can sometimes get jacked on hits like that, glad it's ok!

The horrible mechanical scream made it sound a lot worse...

Wow! That sound after the crash sounded like the Phantom was butthurt!

Jeez! Lucky only a prop got beat!

Fly slower. Also better when you film such a beautifull location.
