From the Fire Island News June 9, 2017:
Saltaire, one of two incorporated towns on Fire Island, recently passed a code that adds village restrictions to the use of drones....The code states that it will violate village code "to fly a drone over or on any private property in a manner that is unsafe or hazardous or a nuisance to the owner, resident or public of the Village of Saltaire." ...Saltaire officials said the code essentially restricts drones from taking off or landing in the village. The code takes effect June 18. Violators will face a $250 fine for their first offense, with fines increasing for additional offenses.
