Filter on GoPro3 BE with P2 and gimbal

Hi everyone

Can I put a polarisation filter on GoPro 3 BE on a Phantom 2 with gimbal ? Anyone tried it ? The manual states not to put anything on the camera.

The gimbal is finely balanced for use with the GoPro. Even removing the battery from the camera can cause issues so I wouldn't try and add anything to the camera/gimbal itself.
