Drone police UK on facebook

As you know their is a group on Facebook called drone police. Some members are on this forum. However EVERYTHING ON THEIR PAGE IS BREAKING COPY RIGHT LAW WITH REGARDS TO THE OWNER(S) OF THE FOOTAGE

1) drone police UK has no right legally to use OUR footage on their personal page with out our consent or permission.

2) using our content for their own personal gain is illegal

3) by law they need to notify us in person either by writing, phone call, e-mail etc... To say they want to use our footage.

4) they have to take our footage down by law if we request it so send an inbox message to them and keep it

5) if they don't take it down, then by law we have the right to Start legal actions against them if needed be.

6) our YouTube videos are their strictly for watching NOT TO BE USED BY ANY OTHER MEDIA SUCH AS DRONE POLICE UK with out our consent

I have now made an official complaint to Facebook with the theft and illegal use of our videos ....

WITH OUT OUR CONSENT

ALSO OUR KNOWLEDGE THAT OUR PERSONAL VIDEOS ARE BEING USED ON ANOTHER MEDIA PAGE

WITH NO PERMISSION TO SAY FROM THE OWNER THAT THEY CAN USE OUR FOOTAGE

I have screen recorded the entire Facebook page to keep on file stating that the DRONE POLICE UK are targeting innocent people leading to members of drone police UK sending abusive comments to drone flyers.

I have also traced back the host ISP server number which I can then pass on to the authorities and also get them prosecuted for bullying, victimization, harassment, theft of personal footage and a few more other things too.

Please respond below and remember... This is NOT a thread to start attacking each other on flying. We know the rules but drone police is breaking more rules then anyone flying

I'm currently having trouble with someone that posts my photos on his Instagram account.
Facebook own Instagram.
I've wasted a lot of time and effort going through their long online form and now I just send an email to:
[email protected] showing links to the stolen images he's posted and links to my originals on the site he steals them from.
They generally remove them fairly quickly.
The catch is that they say they will only remove my own images and not the work of other photographers when I report them.
(the copyright thief has over 7000 stolen images posted)
But I keep nagging them and yesterday they removed 60 extra images.
It would be good if they enforce their own rules and took appropriate action but it seems that's not going to happen.

I personally might play them at their own game. Send a message to pornhub stating we (drone police uk) want you to send us porn links to our site. I will then copy and paste their page. See how they like it [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

It's also a good idea to put a disclaimer on our youtube videos stating that our videos our copyright material and not to be used on any media sites without permission. That way it's a legal loophole we created so that drone police can no longer posts our videos. Which means... They can't post it making their site redundant. It covers our backs and it screws them over... Pure and simple 100% legal. I will do that now on my videos then screen shot it when it says the disclaimer as its playing on their page lol. Then I can take legal action against them [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]

A quick study on copyright law as it relates to linking might be in order:

In the US, at least, linking on Facebook to a YouTube video found in a post here is not infringement since another copy of the video has not been made. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals made a ruling stating as much. Most of the other case law supports this as well.

I was thinking more on the lines of using our personal footage for their own personal page. I have no connections nor do I want to have any connections with drone police UK. And for them to use my footage with out permission is a criminal offence in it's own right (at least here in the UK anyway) they broke infringement laws with regards to ownership and copyright laws using my personal footage on their personal page with no warning, no permission and no rights

Perhaps it is time to start your own page with only one character different than their page name to put your comments on publicly. Put the p*** links on that site.

That's not correct ...they haven't broken any laws. They are not claiming that the videos posted are their own work, they are just posting a youtube link to other people's videos -(in the same way that many people on this site do, if they find a video they think would be of interest to our community).

If someone chooses to post a video of illegal flying on youtube, and leaves their settings as 'Public', anybody can post the link to that video wherever they like.

The cases @Meta4 refers to above are where someone has posted his work, claiming it to be their own....a very different scenario.

I don't know UK law but I can't see how linking to an already publicly shared video on social media is illegal. Why people post images and videos publicly of themselves flying illegally is another matter, seems kinda dumb to me.

What's with the UK guys and all this snitching on each other? Doesn't seem to be a problem elsewhere but maybe that's coming.
