Does having a past felony conviction prevent being obtaining a drone license?

Im 54 years of age and have been flying as a Hobbies’s for about 2 years. I have invested a few thousand in drones and equipment and I’ve been studying for part 107. I run into a statement about after passing they do some type of security background check but didn’t go into detail as to what this is about. I was in my 20s and was convicted of a felony. I’m 54 so does anyone know before I go any further if their is any info that any licensed drone operators would know about that would hinder my ability to become licensed. Any info from others would help before I pay and pass the test and be told oh sorry but in 1986 you were convicted of a felony but thanks for the money and although you passed we can’t issue your license

Only matters if in the last year or so. You'll want to contact your local FSDO for the official word though.
