Does anyone know what this is for ?

Stupid question really I think ... we all know that static cling sheets are used to protect sensitive surfaces like screens etc but I noticed this on my new P4 and can't think of why DJI put it there. My curiosity got the better of me, so here I am. It's a small clear sheet stuck to the bottom of the gimbal with a small tab to grab it ?

Same was on mine. I took it off and tossed it along with the arm stickers, clear lens sticky. I'm sure it's applied at some point in manufacturing to protect it from scuffs etc.

Ya know the plastic was on the other side on mine covering up the holes.

Same thing in my P4, I only noticed it when I saw that I needed to remove the gray foam gimbal block.
(Which I hadn't noticed on my first flight and had left on)
I removed the clear tape and I too replace the foam block after flight.
It's like chicken soup for a cold - It can't hurt.
