A 5.5" CrystalSky is $469, (Plus mount) so $300 is pretty good deal. Unless you have other DJI drones, then a CS could be used on others.

The straight math says yes, it is the better deal. But for me, the display is a bit too small. I also didn't like the idea of locking myself into that small display. I went with a P4 Pro refurb at $1199, and sprung for the 7.8" Crystalsky. More money yes, but that only hurt once. And has been said before, I can move the CS to my other drones, and I can also playback and edit video on it, using it just as a tablet. I can output to HDMI, and I don't need the entire control.
For me, the pros were worth the extra money.
