I made a mistake I guess, I plugged in my Iphone6 to my computer with the USB cord, it had wireless capabilities also. It must have downloaded a new version of the DJI GO app, it sucks!

I noticed it when I took it out for a flight, the display on the cellphone looked different, some item were larger, but I could not get to the old menu key.

So, it flew fine, but when I tried to resolve some of the weird crap, I ended up with a Gimble that will not pan down or up!

I don't know the version number that got installed. But I had read a post from someone about their P4 update that mirrors my problem.

Plus, I have a msg on DJI AP that states I need a firmware update.

Wow!, I am not impressed right now with a forced update on the cellphone!

Has anyone else seen this happen, & is there a remedy?

That all comes down to the settings you have on your phone.
It's not forced at all.
If you allow auto updates, that is what happens.
Disable auto updates and you get to choose what updates and what doesn't.
The remedy would be to delete the new version and reinstall the previous one if you have the install file (APK file if you are on Android) for it.

So sorry I didn't expose the real problem with this upgrade.

I lost the capability to pan my camera up & down.

I am still fighting the "Play-store on what my true id is after each upgrade for the "IOS System" They love to clear out all of your passwords when you update the "IOS Software"

So, I never gave permissions to "DJI GO to update my account.

I don't think I have had a crApple auto update any apps, with the app prompting me, unless I picked update all, and didn't see it in the list. But I suppose if you did a iOS update, they would probably do it automatically. I'm so burned out on updates and upgrades, I make sure all my apps are up to date and do a backup to iTunes (Win Pc) Before I do an iOS update.

Yeah, I get your point ;)
Hey you didn't really quite get me. :D
The OP did start with a iPhone6, and stated,
"I am still fighting the "Play-store on what my true id is after each upgrade for the "IOS System""
I wasn't 100% wrong. ;)
Back at you........

It's all down to the auto-update settings of the phone/tab so you are right.... :)

I'm on a iPhone6 I don't have the previous version.

I ended up deleting it from my phone & re-installing the same one from the APP store, I will try & get it sorted out today.

BTW the version is 3.0.1.

I finally got the DJI GO APP loaded again, I noticed two things that were odd. It asked me to log in, so I think when it downloaded the newest APP it cleaned out my registered ID. Then where it says GPS mode good to fly I see it stating "Vision" then it disappears & says GPS mode again.

I reset my password & now I will need to see if that fixed it.

Can't fly it today, 50 MPH gusts. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow.

Update:

I got no joy out of resetting my password for DJI GO App
My next step is to try rolling back to a older version for IOS via the Charles edit. More updates later.
