Im about to order a Phantom 4 Pro V2 from the DJI website, Is it worth the $150 to get the Care Refresh?
Does it only work if there is a mechanical malfunction of the drone?

It's not a bad idea if you're like me and just getting started. The peace of mind makes it worth it to me so if I do mess up, I'm covered. You need to be mindful of the terms and conditions which you should read on the DJI website.

Mine is running out soon and I don't think I can renew a P3S :<

To me it's worth it. Granted I just sent my P3S in for repair but according to DJI it will cover my (user) error when I hit the tree limb and dropped it out of the sky. [emoji23]. I will I could renew it but you can't.

Update. Well I'm very happy that I bought that extra warranty. I contacted DJI , they sent me the label I shipped my drone back which was free of charge. The received it, reviewed it and repaired it and shipped it back within 3 days. So with shipping both ways and repair it was approx 12 days.

Very happy with this service.
