Hi All
I have read conflicting info on the net about these 2 controllers. Can someone tell me the transmitting wattages of Controller 300B and C ? Thank you !! :)

I'm not sure why there is any conflicting info unless it's a really old thread. The actual info has been well known for a while now.

The 300A and 300B RCs both have the same power output for the control signal. It's only the 300C version of the RC that has reduced power. If you don't do any very long range flights, you probably wouldn't notice a difference with any of the versions in that regard.

The 300A RC has the DaVinci processor and USB 2.0. B and C don't have the internal video processor, but do have USB 3.0.

The video transmitter (for FPV) is in the quad itself, and the power for that has been reduced with each new version of the Phantom. First reduced by 18% in relation to the original and then later by 30% in relation to the original.

Here is more info from @GadgetGuy
Old Motors vs. New Ones

The GL300A controller has a frequency range of:
2404.00000000 - 2480.00000000 and a power output of 0.380000 Watts
The GL300B controller has a frequency range of:
2404.00000000 - 2480.00000000 and a power output of 0.380000 Watts
The GL300C controller has a frequency range of:
2404.00000000 - 2470.00000000 and a power output of 0.3030000 Watts

Good Afternoon Oso ! Hope all is well with you. Yes, it was a typo. One of the pages I googled said the 300C was rated at 3.03 !!!!! Thanks for all the info, I certainly appreciate. I'm a "need to know" person. I have to know why so I can deal with an issue in an intelligent manner... in my case I'm not so sure that's possible! But anyways... Again, Thanks

I have a question and it sounds like Oso can answer it? I have a P3A with a GL300C controller which had developed a problem. I've found a used GL300B for sale. Will the GL300B work just as well with my P3A? Or should I try and find the 300C? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

OK, I think I got it, BUT...... If I only had a Phantom 3 pro with no RC, and had the 3 of the RCs in front of me to buy. All the same price and condition, All other things being equal. ..which one would you buy/prefer? GL300A?, GL300B?, or GL300C? I'm guessing the GL300B because of added power and USB3.0? Thoughts?

I'd choose the GL300A. USB 3 in the B/C isn't really buying you anything. It's likely there because with the B/C your phone/tablet is forced to do the video processing as opposed to the RC like the A is. A = More power. It's a hard one to find mainly because it was the first generation ~2yrs ago. I have one and it has a iTelite DBS MaxRange Antenna modded to it.

I agree the USB 3.0 to GL300 B & C isn't of much help, but fact that GL300A has that supplemental video processor, results in more needed power, so probably the same RC battery placed in a GL300A will provide less authonomy than functioning into the B or C (of course the battery will last even longer into the C version, due to transmitter's reduced RF power capabilities, highlighted well by @Oso but the payed price is a reduced range so the C choice shouldn't to be considered further).

Having this in mind, question remains btw A & B. I would choose B, because this version is consuming less power due to that missing video processor. So the battery capacity that is saved, might be routed to the HDMI module, that (I can testify based on my own experience) is consuming a lot.

I can see significant less RC authonomy after I've installed the said module, which is by the way a must for goggles, while goggles are a must to provide full immersion FPV & avoid terrible disconfort a shiny sunny day generates, that makes absolutely impossible to see anything on your tablet/phone attached to the RC.
