I just read in the news that Italy banned drones and that any unauthorized flying object is gonna be shoot down? No detailed info was available other than this was connected to the recent muslim attacks in Europe and in the rest of the world.

Does anybody know any more info? Is this just temporary or location/event based?

I'm asking cause I had some plans to go to Italy with my P3P.

Just in Rome during the Jubilee. Think of it as a temporary flight restriction. Had the same thing here in Philly during the Papal Visit.
