DBSMod Losing RC Signal way before video signal...normal?

I've been using my P3S for about two weeks with the DBSmod...great improvement over stock.

Anyways, whenever I lose signal it is always the RC signal, never the video...is that the same with you guys? Most of the time the RC signal is lost when I still have 75% video.

Mine does the same thing; RC signal always goes out before video. So I always see the live video feed on my iPad of the drone returning home after RTH kicks in.

Mine is total opposite, always have full RC right before FPV disconnects. I'd rather have you all get...when it disconnects, I'm basically sitting there blind until it reconnects.

The FPVLR I have notice is a little more balanced in that regard.

Are you guys making sure everything is wired correctly? Make sure no wires crossed?

Yea, same happens to me with argtek mod. 2.4G wave passes thru hard objects easier than 5.8 as far as I know. That's why probably.

Would a 5.8ghz amplifier on the remote alone help this? Or does there have to be an amp on the P3S itself as well?
