Data while connected to P3

Am I missing something or can I not get 4G data for maps on my phone while the WiFi is connected to the P3? Is this normal operations or is it cell provider specific? Samsung S7 Edge on Sprint. Probably not a big deal but turning WiFi on and off all the time is a pain.

Do you have a P3S? If so, you'll need to cache the map before flying because once your mobile device is connected to the drone's WiFi, there is no internet connection.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I have a P3S. I planned on upgrading this summer to a P4 so this will be another reason!
