I had the same distance issues a couple weeks ago where sometimes I would only get 800' max before loosing signal. Since I installed my DBS, I'm easily getting 2500+ where there is moderate distance. Haven't had the need to fly further yet.

I got about 1600' or so. Stock p3s. A lot of metal around and lost signal once at the end for about 2 seconds. Probably could have gone further but panicked. I too just ordered the windsurfer to see if that helps with distance
