Controller TP-Link 8dBi Antenna Mod

Has anyone else tried the Controller TP-Link 8dBi Antenna Mod on a P2 non-vision? This thing is 3 times the size as the stock antenna... is it really worth it?

I too am wondering this. I've seen videos of people getting 200m+ on the 2.4ghz phantoms. I've ordered the parts so will post my results when they arrive. Google windsurfer antenna, this also promises more range !

For $5 and a few minutes of your time it is worth it. I get more range with my 5 turn 9dBi helical but I prefer TP-Link for normal flying. I get out to 2km+ with it but have not really pushed it. Some have been out to 5km+ with it.

have not tried that one but i have been out just over 4 miles with the windsurfer mod. it is easy to do and works great. 4 miles out might be the limit because of battery life. i barely made it back and that was flying in manual mode.
