From your image that appears to be melted and not flyable. Is that cleaned up?

Yes, as clean as I can get it. I’ll contact DJI.

Let us know if we can offer any more help. FYI, DJI has been better at turnaround times than the past.

It is hard to tell from the image, but it almost looks like the contacts sustained damage from arcing. In that case the contacts within the aircraft could also be damaged. That might cause similar arcing and damage to new batteries. I'd have it checked.

You could sell it 'as is' on Ebay. Maybe someone will take a chance.
For that matter, it may never fail if you continue to use it, but it'll be the first thing you think of if you see the bird making a death-spiral toward the ground, won't it? You'll say,'Darn, I knew that might happen.****.'
A flight is already a BP-raising event for me without unknown variables being willingly introduced.
BTW, I'm no expert on these boards, but it is what I would do.
Nooooooo...don't let anyone else use it!

Just want to also make a suggestion. With them batteries don't trash them, don't use them for updates either, just don't put them in the drone. BUT do keep them. Why? You can get adaptors that can go into the normal charging socket of the battery, then the other end of the adaptor will be a phone usb charger. Keep them for power banks to charge up your phone when it's out of juice and you have no where to charge. You can also get an adaptor that plugs into the battery and the other end will be an LED light. So all is not wasted. eBay and AliExpress is your friend on this one to help you turn your battery into something useful and not a waste of money. However, try to see if DJI will in fact swap it for a new one. They did that with mine.
