Compass Repair

Hello,

I've replaced the landing gear for compass 1 of my Phantom 4 Pro, however, it still displays as "disconnected." Is there something that must be done after the replacement for it to be recognized as connected, or should I assume that the compass cable is damaged?

Never been in a 4 but have others. Are you sure you are connected .

I've just refreshed the firmware and there was no change. I will attempt to reconnect the cables.

Perhaps I damaged something by using a magnetic screwdriver? I've ordered a demagnetizer and will see what I can do tomorrow...

Putting a magnet around the compass is not very clever idea. But it should not disconnect anything.

Was this a crash? Did you replace the ribbon yet? Do you have any control? Linked?

Check for a good connection internally. Pull the gimbal off and look at the front of the drone, the compass’s connect to the power distribution board and the connectors are just barley accessible after you remove the main controller (4 rubber standoffs and 3 ribbon connectors under black tape).
