Booted up rc then ac then plugged into booted up shield tablet
Screen said charging
Anyone got that message on their tablet?
Thanks Jim

Yes, that's typical on Android devices... mine does too

Yes ... correct. Its part of the reason you have such a large battery capacity in the Controller !

Mine does too. It says its charging but its a very slow charge.

Could you explain further ?
I've never seen any official on why the remote charges android devices from Dji, but it makes sense to keep your device powered during flight, particularly in cooler weather. The amount of power draw from the remote's battery is nothing to be concerned about as even while charging your device it will outlast the aircraft battery. Its nothing to be concerned about.

Also need to add that tablet seems to heat up while flying
I seen somewhere that their is asetting to change that will fix this
I cannot find it
Please help me find this tablet battery drain seems excessive and I have never had the tablet heat up it seems not to do this on phone when flying
I gave up flying with phone I was having too many problems with phone so I use tablet only
Thanks for any and all replies

The heating up is likely being caused by the tablet's cpu working very hard to run the app, not from charging.

Th capacity of the controllers battery is far more than needed for just controller use. The extra is most likely there because unlike the Std / SE ... the Adv and Pro P3's use USB cable - which unless you modify a cable connects the power sources.

As to the heating up ... the tablet is now not only running a reasonably intensive APP but also having charge pushed at it ... the two together cause heating of the tablet ...............
