Canadian registering Phantom in USA?

Canadian here considering taking my Phantom to Maui in a couple weeks. As a Canadian, am I required to register in the US while flying there? How many Americans actually bother to register their drones?

Yes. You can register on the FAA's site here.

Everyone in the US should be registering since it's the law.

As a canadian we are (as of yet) not required to register our drone. I know of no rule or regulations that require anyone to register. Just one word of caution. Watch out for our new hedge on the 49th parallel.
