Can not go the distance

I was flying my bird at the local boat pier and decide now the time to go the one mile mark but I could only go 1632 feet but I could over
400 in height any ideas why?

What happened once you reached 1632 feet?

The range can vary wildly depending on the location and the 'noise' in the air. For example, congested urban areas have lots of wifi interference which will affect the range.

Sounds like 500M? Perhaps you enabled the "Enable Max Distance" option in the app which actually limits distance. Do you have it set to limit your distance to 500M? If so, disable the "Enable Max Distance" option so that you can actually go further than 500M / 1640ft.

Here's the setting that should be disabled. Make sure you set it while your Phantom is connected to DJI GO.
