Cache locally when recording

So I watched a video on YouTube about the dji go app, in the video the guy showed that you can turn on "cache locally when recording" I have turned this on and after my flight I cannot find any video or pictures on my phone, I'm using IOS, and I see in my photo list it says import from dji but the album is empty, am I doing something wrong?

Not sure if I understand enough of you post to help but...
After I fly and record video AND BEFORE I turn off the bird, I select the small arrow under the record button on the right rectangle to view/save my low resolution 720P to my iPad mini 4.

I can then watch the video on my iPad. However if I turn the bird off before saving, it never appears on the iPad.
