OK guys. I'm a newbie so please take it easy on me lol. I understand the Phantom pro is capable of doing past 5km. But I lose video transmission after a 100 yards or so over houses. I don't want to risk losing control but the attempt is to fly to a friend's house about 4 km and land then take off. If I ever lose video..does that also mean complete control is on its way out too soon? As I said before I new please be kind [emoji28]

Unless you're on top of a hill and can clearly see your friends house below, I highly doubt you're gonna pull that off.

These birds still need a decent signal to your controller, and flying on the other side of buildings isn't going to provide that.

If you can't see your bird due to obstructions, there is a good chance you're gonna have problems.

Thanks. I thought it was a in and out kinda thing but full control and map aids at least before I'd lose full control. Won't even try it now.
