Boscam, immersionRC or FlySight FPV Transmitter

The Immersion works fine with the Black Pearl That is what I use

It is much smaller and lighter than the AVl58 also.

Tom

I tested myself, it works but you will never get a good range, and the image quality is granny...

i just bought the tx5804 400mw, and the blackpearl monitor as receiver (and two pinwheel antennas). with this setup i can't reach more than 400 meters..... anyone has the same problem?

But that being said... I have heard that the Boscam/avl58 transmitters are in a spectrum that is very "noisy" with interference here in the US and the Immersion perform better for this reason.

At least that's what i remember reading.

I dont think so, immersionRC uses 95% of boscam made stuff, cannot be that different, you must only change channel if you are flying with someone else on same channel.

Hi! I have Phantom 2 with Zenmuse H3-3D and GoPro Hero4 Black camera.
My intension is to setup a FPV system and I have chosen these items:
- Boscam FPV 5.8G 400mW AV Transmitter Module TS353
- Boscam RX LCD 5802 5.8GHz LCD Diversity Receiver 7 Inch Monitor
- Boscam RX-LCD5802 Monitor Charging Adaptor
- DJI iOSD mini Module Naza-M Compatible
- DJI Phantom 2 Quadcopter Part No.9 Kit FPV Cable And Hub
- CNC Alloy FPV Monitor Mounting Bracket Support DJI Phantom Transmitter
- Boscam SKY FPV 5.8GHz Petals Clover Mushrooms Antenna RP-SMA Male

Are these items enough to build a fully working FPV system for my Phantom 2?
Or is there anything missing? Or something too much?
Or would you suggest to replace any item to make the system work even better?

Thanks for any answer!

you may be better off making your own thread in the FPV forum, rather than digging up a 9 month old thread in the P2 forum :) so after this I suggest you pop over to the FPV forum.
One big thing I see is you should NOT use the "DJI FPV HUB" (- DJI Phantom 2 Quadcopter Part No.9 Kit FPV Cable And Hub). that part is only for use with a DJI AVL58 transmitter.
You want this plug and play cable which accomplishes the same thing and yes that's the version for the Boscam transmitters (TS353)

it's personal preference, but I like the nice 3d-printed display mounts rather than the metal ones.

also you might be able to do better with the antennas depending on the kind of range and quality you want. those antennas will probably only go a couple hundred meters max

go check out the "lowest prices on components" stickythread in the FPV forum, make sure you're getting the best prices!
