Best long range setup for traveling

I made a mod to my wifi repeater only as per below

Before I got 300m ( 900 f) with this simple Mod I got 900m ( 2952 f) reliable.

Max I got was 1km ( 3,280 f)

Seems to me like a good distance with a minor mod.

Just a side note, possible I am lucky with my mod however remember that every connector you have in your setup causes some loss.

Thus the shorter the cable and the less connectors the better....

With the antenna I used it has a built in pigtail and connect direct to the tx connector, no intermediate sma pigtail.

This saves a few DB/ mw and could help.

Im getting almost 3k with this tp link 9
nothing done to craft.

Two questions. Is the 9dbi omni attached to just one antenna lead in the wifi extender?

And what is the other black square antenna spec? How does it attach? OK, I guess it was 3 questions. LOL. Thx for the help!
