Hey everyone,

I'm traveling to Hawaii this month, so I want a better setup for long distance fpv than I currently have.
I currently have an 8dbi indoor omni attached to my wifi repeater along with a tp-link 14dbi outdoor directional.
The most I've gotten was about 1350 feet, straight shot, on the beach.

To bring this setup while traveling just seems cumbersome, with the poles and base, etc.
I'm hoping to get some great shots of the pipelines, volcanoes etc...

What setup would you use if you were traveling??

We are working on making the most compact furthest flying set up
Without touching the pv2 you can get around 3000 ft using either a 6.5 turn helical or the parasitic disc from fpvlr
There is still a lot if testing to be done on the smaller set ups
I'm waiting for a dome and pinwheels from them and will post some numbers when I get them

With just one 6.5 turn helical or parasitic disc, I'm assuming attached to the wifi repeater, they get about 3000ft?

Yes just one antenna added to the repeater.

In areas with no interference, my stock control craps out around 6000'. With a 9dBi tplink directional, I get wifi pretty solid to over 4000' but it gets crappy about 5000'. Record so far 6307' (with loss of both). No mods to Phantom. That 9dBi directional fits in my case nicely and was really cheap at Amazon.

You're getting 4000' fpv with this?

Nice where did you get that I might be needing it

China Taobao , search key word "5.8G 14db".

Did you change any thing inside of plane? or just replace the Antenna on the Controller and you can increase the range?

Did you also change any thing for wifi range extender?

Sorry I just bought the phantom ... No knowledge.
