So I'm thinking my phantom is repairable but I'm not skilled enough to handle the repairs. Any recommendations please ?

Check the DJI list of approved suppliers in your area and make some calls. Expand the radius as necessary.
The DJI dealer in my area whom I purchase from said this.
The condition looks like good per your pictures and descriptions. It may only need some adjustment. You may try updating the software, adjusting or re-assembling the gimbal and camera etc per your testing and judgement.
