What is it with Bees??? Just attracted a whole swarm around thew PV2+. Some suicidal!

same thing happened to me...figured it was the buzzing sound from the phantom that made some sort of mating call

I worry about this happening at some point given I live in the country

Yes male bees are called drones which is a bit ironic
Just hope they don't follow it back to landing(that wouldn't be good)

There is bee video coming from all makes and type of quads.

A few years ago, a bunch of bumble bees swarmed my AR Drone.
Then I flew near a hornets nest and they did the same thing.

Its wierd how high up they live... like there just buzzing around at 100ft.. noone would have any idea they are there...

The birds and the bees seem to be attracted to the phantoms..
I guess my parents taught me wrong...

I just landed mine. When was coming down it was being followed by hundreds of bees. Unfortunately, I was not recording. I had to shake it up and down in the air about 100 ft up to get rid of them. When landed the blades had signs of killing lots of bees. Also the body had splashes of death bees. It was crazy

I also encountered a swarm of bees yesterday, and I was amazed at how they followed me around - even up to 200 feet and more.

Glad they didn't overpower your props and cause you some serious damage. If they had been nice you may have gotten a little honey out of the encounter!
Gotta watch those African bees, I hear they are a little aggressive.
