This battery has about 5 charges on it. It is not swollen and I have had no issues with it. I noticed this morning the dent shown in the photo. It has not broken through the skin. I am a bit concerned about this. I have not idea when this damage happened. It has never been dropped and always kept upright on my desk or in a pouch in my bag. It could have come from the factory like this. Should I take this out of service? I'm going to be pretty upset to pull it as it is less than a month old. It has been used about 5 times so I am not sure it will be covered for a return.

If you haven't dropped it then it was probably always like that.
Not ideal but if it is working ok you should be fine.
