I have a phantom 4. I have the dji 3 battery charging hub that I use to charge the batteries and store them. There are times when I charge the batteries to 100% intending to fly but run into bad weather or another issue. Should I then put the batteries into storage mode or leave them fully charged? I wasn’t sure if the charging and discharging will decrease the life of the battery.

Storing for more than a few days at full charge is not good for them.

Recommended storage charge level is 50-60%.

Use the self-discharge feature set to the minimum of 2 days. They will slowly discharge to the storage level. They will feel slightly warm during this process. Do not turn on to test the levels during this time as the 2 day count down will start again.

There's is no risk frequently charging or topping them up to full charge prior to anticipated flying.

Dont worry much, these are smart batteries and will discharge automatically to safe storage levels.
