I own a phantom 4 pro drone and my batteries started giving up ( much lower flying time, one of them is swelled )

I have searched everywhere and can't find any original dji batteries, even if I find one there is trouble sending them abroad, I live in Cyprus
I was wondering if there is any source I didn't came across for dji phantom batteries?
Also any experience with non dji brands batteries? I found a brand that makes phantontom 4 batteries called patona
Any feedback from anyone for this brand?

Although I don't have first hand experience with aftermarket DJI batteries, many members here have strong opinions on batteries by 'ExpertPower'.

(They would be my first choice when my DJI OEM batteries bite the dust).


Don't know if you have Amazon there in Cyprus, but you might want to check them out for Expert Power Phantom 4 Pro battery deals.

I'm sure other members will soon chime in with their suggestions also.

Hello, @Eagle430. I have found some phantom 4 batteries on Ebay. Here are some links to some batteries I've found on Ebay: DJI phantom4 battery or Genuine DJI phantom 4 battery. The non-genuine battery says worldwide shipping, but I am not sure if it (or the genuine one) would actually ship to your location. From what I've read, aftermarket batteries should be ok, but it pays to be careful. Hope this helps!

I bought an aftermarket P4 battery from Amazon and it worked for everything except for when hit go fly, an error came up saying it wasn't a genuine dji battery.
I think DJI should remove the need for a genuine dji battery, especially now that dji doesn't manufacture or sell batteries for the P4 anymore.

Aftermarket batteries will not work for flying the P4, it must be a genuine dji battery, I was able to do everything with the aftermarket battery with no errors until I hit the go fly then I got an error saying not a genuine dji battery, drone won't even start, I bought mine from Amazon, I'm just glad actually went through all the setup to configure gps etc, including trying to go fly, I would have been pissed if all I did was put battery in drone then notice that controller connects to drone no problem then turned it off. I returned battery for full refund,
In my opinion, dji should remove the need for genuine dji battery, from the firmware especially now that dji has stopped producing and selling batteries

Incorrect.

"Expert Power" brand batteries are well known to work in P3's, P4's and Mavics.

Perhaps the 'aftermarket' battery you are referring to was one of hundreds of DJI copycat batteries for sale that are not compatible with DJI drones.

I've bought 4 after market Batteries from Aliexpress about a year or so ago and all still work fine without any issues. Never had the no fly problem. Obviously buy at own risk but mine are still good. Bought the 3 battery charging staion as well, which is also still working fine. See screenshots below of where I bought from.

Hop I'm posting this were I should. Old friend came by, has a Phantom 3 Advance. Hadn't flown it in years, and wanted me to check it over. He has four original batteries. I chared all four up overnight and of course the controller and tablet. Flew the Phantom close to the ground down to 20% on each battery. Averaged 13 to 14 minutes on each battery. Recharged two to the batteries and put the phantom through a good flight all seems fine, although I'm concerned about the battery age and potential failure, any thoughts or experience would be helpful.
