Is there a way in autopilot to cancel return to home when the battery is low?

I was landing my P3 today about 2 feet off the ground and it was beeping that RTH was about to engage.

On DJI Go you can cancel that but on autopilot no dialog box popped up.

My p3 took off and moved over about 200 feet unnecessarily.

How do I cancel it?

You can't cancel from the Autopilot app. RTH failsafe is provided by DJI and autopilot cannot control the aircraft once it is engaged. You need to manually disengage Autopilot from whithin the app or override it by switching flight control mode to P (I would also switch apps to the DJI Go) before the battery reaches the critical RTH level

I didn't have autopilot engaged in a task.

Is it safe to end autopilot in mid air and open DJI go?

Yes, you can. Best do this while not engaged. Only issue is you may not get a flight record sync to healthy drones as you currently need to complete a flight (props off) prior to closing app for it to register.
