Lighting strike damage loose connections from various wind speeds loose bolts are another reason having to lower one to do this is a pain.
Not sure how you are going to determine if a bolt is loose via a camera that is several feet away.
Yes tower section bolts and connector weather proofing. Also thought of using the Phantom to inspect commercial towers but worried about interference, especially 5.7Ghz microwave links.
There are few terrestrial 5.7 GHz links in use today. Most are 9GHz or higher because the higher frequencies allow for more bandwidth. And the worst that can happen is your controller loses link and your Phantom goes home.
In this photo, the horn antennas operated in the 4-6 GHz band. The smaller round ones operate at 9GHz or higher.
Even if you see a horn antenna, it's probably cold as it's a lot cheaper to just pull the plug than to remove the antenna.
