This a very large event for our area.

My dad is a pilot and a member of: Airshows – Cascade Warbirds
Even before WAAAM existed, he was and still is the main person to get what he calls the "Heavy Metals" to be part of the Hood River Fly-In.

Ben Davidson? "Chief pilot for a museum of antique planes and cars that hosts the event."
Hood River plane crash kills 2 as fly-in set to start
I know this guy, been a while since I have seen him.
My dad knows him much better. They were both at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Supporting WAAAM in 2018.

Here is post from made in the the past.
Just getting started
WAAAM brought back two trophies and one was for the glider my dad trailered there and back.

Had a similar event back around 1984. Copperstate Fly-In. Flew up there with seven ultralights, back with six. First one to the crash site. Still have that picture in my head. Nothing I could do.

Some photos my dad sent me via text, not sure if he knew who had passed at that time.
